Deus, venérunt gentes in hereditátem tuam: polluérunt templum sanctum tuum: posuérunt Jerúsalem in pomórum custódiam.

Intret in conspéctu tuo, Dómine, gémitus compeditórum: redde vicínis nostris séptuplum in sinu eórum: víndica sánguinem Sanctórum tuórum, qui effúsus est.
O God, Who bestowed upon Your Saints, Abdon and Sennen, an abundance of grace to bring them to this glory; grant to Your servants forgiveness of their sins, so they may be found worthy to be freed from all harm through the interceding merits of Your saints.
Through our Lord…

A reading from the Epistle of blessed Paul the Apostle to the Corinthians.
2 Cor 6:4-10
Brethren: Let us exhibit ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in tribulation, in necessities, in distresses, In stripes, in prisons, in seditions, in labours, in watchings, in fastings, In chastity, in knowledge, in longsuffering, in sweetness, in the Holy Ghost, in charity unfeigned, In the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armour of justice on the right hand and on the left; By honour and dishonour, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; as unknown, and yet known; As dying, and behold we live; as chastised, and not killed; As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as needy, yet enriching many; as having nothing, and possessing all things.
Léctio Epístolæ beáti Pauli Apóstoli ad Corínthios
2 Cor 6:4-10

Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to Matthew
Matt 5:1-12
At that time, Jesus seeing the crowds, went up the mountain. And when He was seated, His disciples came to Him. And opening His mouth He taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are the meek, for they shall possess the earth. Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are you when men reproach you, and persecute you, and, speaking falsely, say all manner of evil against you, for My sake. Rejoice and exult, because your reward is great in heaven.
Sequéntia ☩ sancti Evangélii secúndum Matthǽum
Matt 5:1-12
Ps 67:36
God is wonderful in His Saints; the God of Israel is He Who gives power and strength to His people. Blessed be God! Alleluia.
Ps 67:36
Mirábilis Deus in Sanctis suis: Deus Israël, ipse dabit virtútem et fortitúdinem plebi suæ: benedíctus Deus, allelúja.
May this sacrificial gift, we beseech You, O Lord, which we offer in commemorating the anniversary of the death of Your Saints, both loose the bonds of our sins and secure for us the gifts of Your grace.
Through our Lord…
Hæc hóstia, quǽsumus, Dómine, quam sanctórum Mártyrum tuórum natalítia recenséntes offérimus: et víncula nostræ pravitátis absolvat, et tuæ nobis misericórdiæ dona concíliet.

Common
It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:

They have given the corpses of Your servants, O Lord, as food to the birds of heaven, the flesh of Your faithful ones to the beasts of the earth. With Your great power free those doomed to death.
Ps 78:2 & 11
Posuérunt mortália servórum tuórum, Dómine, escas volatílibus cœli, carnes Sanctórum tuórum béstiis terræ: secúndum magnitúdinem bráchii tui pósside fílios morte punitórum.
By the working of this sacred rite O Lord, may our sins be erased, and through the intercession of Your Martyrs, Abdon and Sennen, may our just desires be fulfilled.
