Lesson from the first letter of St. Peter the Apostle
1 Pet 1:3-7
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy hath regenerated us unto a lively hope, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who by the power of God are kept through faith unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time. Wherein you shall greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you are made sorrowful in divers temptations: that the trial of your faith, much more precious than gold which is tried by the fire, may be found unto praise and glory and honour at the appearing of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Léctio Epístolæ beáti Petri Apóstoli
1 Petr 1:3-7
Alleluia, alleluia.
Sir 39:19
Thy Saints, O Lord, shall flourish as the lily, and shall be before Thee as the odour of balm. Alleluia.
Ps 115:15
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints. Alleluia.
Allelúja, allelúja.
Sir 39:19
Sancti tui, Dómine, florébunt sicut lílium: et sicut odor bálsami erunt ante te. Allelúja.
Ps 115:15
Pretiósa in conspéctu Dómini mors Sanctórum ejus. Allelúja.
Continuation ☩ of the Holy Gospel according to John
John 15:5-11
In that time, Jesus said to his disciples: I am the vine: you the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing. If any one abide not in me, he shall be cast forth as a branch, and shall wither, and they shall gather him up, and cast him into the fire, and he burneth. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, you shall ask whatever you will, and it shall be done unto you. In this is My Father glorified, that you bring forth very much fruit, and become My disciples. As the Father hath loved Me, I also have loved you. Abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you shall abide in My love; as I also have kept My Father's commandments, and do abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled.
Sequéntia ☩ sancti Evangélii secúndum Joánnem
Joannes 15:5-11
In illo témpore: Dixit Jesus discípulis suis: Ego sum vitis, vos pálmites: qui manet in me, et ego in eo, hic fert fructum multum: quia sine me nihil potéstis fácere. Sicut diléxit me Pater, et ego diléxi vos. Manéte in dilectióne mea.
Ps 31:11
Rejoice in the Lord and be glad, ye just; and glory, all ye right of heart, alleluia, alleluia.
Ps 31:11
Lætámini in Dómino et exsultáte, justi: et gloriámini, omnes recti corde, allelúja, allelúja.
May a bountiful blessing, O Lord, descend upon these offerings and, through Your mercy, may it help to make us holy and to be joyful on the feast of the saints.
Through our Lord…

It is truly meet and just, and profitable unto salvation, that we should at all times, and in all places, give thanks to Thee, O Holy Lord, Father Almighty, eternal God, through Christ, our Lord. Through whom the Angels praise Thy Majesty, the Dominions adore it, the Powers are in awe. Which the heavens and the hosts of heaven together with the blessed Seraphim joyfully do magnify. And do Thou command that it be permitted us to join with them in confessing Thee, while we say with lowly praise:
Communis
Ps 32:1
Rejoice in the Lord, ye just: praise becometh the upright, alleluia.
Ps 32:1
Gaudéte, justi, in Dómino, allelúja: rectos decet collaudátio, allelúja.
With our strength renewed from having shared in Your sacred gift, we beseech You, O Lord our God, that by the intercession of Your saints Alexander, Eventius, Theodulus, and Juvenal we may feel the benefit of the worship we are offering.
